Kevin leads our continued investments in penetrating Global 1000 Enterprises, expanding and deepening our strategic alliances across leading Independent Software Vendors (ISV’s), Hardware companies and Global Systems Integrators and expanding our rapidly growing Service Provider (think cloud computing) relationships, globally. Kevin has 19 years in executive roles at EMC and IO, including leading Global Accounts, OEM, Alliances and Systems Integrator GTM teams and serving as the Head of Operations and Integration for Isilon Systems. He has deep experience in delivering a consistent, global customer experience for customers, in creating leverage through the technology ecosystem and in rapidly scaling businesses from hundreds of millions to billions. He'll also serve as our lead executive on our expanding presence along the east coast, and will be based out of NYC.
As VP of Sales, Matt Burr is aggressively driving the company's domestic sales strategy and expansion. With more than 15 years of Sales and Sales Management experience, Matt excels at building teams and strategies that grow revenue at both early stage companies and large complex organizations. He has held leadership roles within Symantec (via the VERITAS Software acquisition) and most recently Matt led the growth of the Western Region for Limelight Networks yielding 100% growth in revenue during his time.
While at Symantec/VERITAS, he held various roles in Direct Sales, OEM Sales and Field Sales Management with a core focus on emerging products.
Michael Sotnick is a channel veteran and was most recently Executive Vice President and Channel Chief at Moovweb. Prior to Moovweb, Michael was Vice President of Worldwide Channels and Alliances at Quest Software (acquired by Dell). He also served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations at ActivIdentity, where he was responsible for all customer-facing operations including management of the direct sales and channel team.
Before joining ActivIdentity, Michael was the Senior Vice President of Small and Midsize Enterprise for SAP America, Inc. and was responsible for defining and executing SAP’s channel and partner strategy. Additionally, he was the architect and execution leader of SAP America’s multi-dimensional coverage model for this customer segment. This includes oversight of the SAP reseller channel and related operations.
Prior to SAP, Michael served as Vice President of Partner Sales for VERITAS Software
Corporation (acquired by Symantec in 2005). At VERITAS, Michael established the global multi-tier channel strategy and managed North American Partner Sales. He is a graduate of the University of Hartford in Connecticut.
James Petter joined Pure after 16 highly successful years as a sales leader in EMEA, with specific focus on the UK and Ireland on global account programs for companies including EMC, Cisco, Telstra and Coca Cola. James brings strong operational discipline to Pure Storage, with a proven ability to implement and execute sales strategies that support high growth and high margins. Throughout his tenure James has built a business based on 100% channel in the Commercial marketplace, has created a highly successful business in Public Sector in the UK, and personally has served as an Advisor to the central government.
A graduate of the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, James served as an officer in the 2nd Royal Green Jackets for six years. He also holds a BSc from the University of Surrey and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies from Bristol University.
Alp joins Pure Storage from Polycom, where he served as the president of Polycom Asia Pacific and Japan, running all sales and marketing, service and support operations across the region. Previously he was the vice president of the EMC Backup and Recovery Solution and Data Computing Division in EMC APJ, after the Data Domain acquisition where he led the team across the region. Before this, Alp ran the Channels business at EMC and was well known as the architect and driver behind EMC’s aggressive move into emerging and commercial markets through the channel from 2006 to 2009. His 25 years of industry experience also includes positions at Teradata, Oracle Corporation Australia and NCR Corporation.
With more than a decade of experience in marketing and communications, Amy Cronk leads the Pure Storage corporate communications team, overseeing internal and external communications including media, analyst and influencer relations as well as customer marketing.
Prior to joining Pure, Amy was a Marketing Partner at the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, where she provided communications counsel to both the firm and its portfolio companies. She previously held positions at Battery Ventures, Horn Group, Oracle, Zeno Group and Apple.
In 2014, Amy was named as one of PRWeek’s 50 rising stars of tech PR and digital communications. Amy is a graduate of Stanford University.
Aimee “Cat” Catalano is the VP of Partner and Industry Solution Marketing at Pure Storage where she leads channel and alliance partner marketing, as well as industry solutions marketing efforts.
She was most recently the Vice President of Alliance Marketing at Citrix, where she built and led an organization responsible for go-to-market strategy with strategic alliances, global SI partners, top tier service providers and the company’s technology partner program called Citrix Ready.
In 2015 she was awarded the Silicon Valley Business Journal Women of Influence Award for her marketing leadership and advocacy of women in technology. Aimee joined Citrix in 2007 from the XenSource acquisition, where she ran channel and alliance marketing. With more than 18 years of experience in the enterprise marketing field, she has also held various roles for companies including IBM, Interwoven and Qumu. Aimee holds a Master of Business Administration from the Leavy School of Business at Santa Clara University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from San Jose State University.
As VP of Customer Success and Technical Field Operations, Alex Hesterberg is chartered with focusing Pure's Sales Engineers, Field CTOs, Solution Architects, Professional Services, Training and Certification teams on customer and partner success. Having held leadership roles at high growth companies like Riverbed Technology, Sailthru Inc. and Symantec (via the VERITAS Software acquisition), Alex is passionate about cross-functional alignment within field organizations and always improving the customer experience.
While at Riverbed Technology, Alex built and scaled the Worldwide Riverbed Professional Services organization during Riverbed's period of hyper growth. This organization consisted of Riverbed Consulting, Riverbed Training and Riverbed Certification (RCSA, RSCP). Alex led high-performing Professional Services and Sales teams at Symantec, Customer Success and Sales teams at Sailthru Inc. and started his career as a Project Manager and Database Administrator at Computer Sciences.
Colin Mead has more than two decades of international support and services leadership experience in the high tech industry, supporting global enterprise, government and managed services IT environments. He joins Pure Storage from Riverbed Technology where he was the Senior Vice President of Worldwide Support. Colin was responsible for all aspects of its $450M post sales support business including technical support, logistics, renewals, support partner program and system operations. While in this role, he was awarded the Technology Services Industry Association's (TSIA) highest award for customer service excellence four years running, in addition to being recognized by JD Power for providing an "outstanding customer service experience."
Colin is a graduate of Thames Valley University in the UK and St Mary's in Moraga, CA. He also held executive positions at Mirapoint and N.E.T.
