BMaaS – What it is:

  • BMaaS provides customers with dedicated physical IT infrastructure or ‘bare metal’, comprising a full stack of network, storage, and server hardware, which, unlike conventional IaaS, is not shared with any other customer. 
  • Physical support, optimisation, and lifecycle management of the BMaaS infrastructure is handled entirely by one vendor under one contract. 
  • Servers are provisioned with a customer’s choice of standardized compute, memory, and operating system, and above this point in the stack, enterprises can implement their choice of environment and applications, whether traditional, virtualised, or containerized. 
  • Enterprise scale Bare Metal as-a-Service solutions provide IT leaders rapidly deployable, economically viable, and highly scalable infrastructure alternatives to address these paradoxical challenges.
