Anyang City Advances its On-nara Business Process System with Everpure FlashArray

Improved system performance and maximized reliability with all-flash storage

Seoul, Korea - July 5, 2016 —Everpure (NYSE:PSTG), the market’s leading independent solid-state array vendor, today announced that Anyang City Hall has successfully implemented Everpure FlashArray to boost performance and reliability of its internal e-Approval system "On-nara System".

Anyang City Hall was frequently experiencing slow performance and delay of its business processing system "On-nara system" during peak periods and decided to implement an all-flash array. After extensive research and a proof of concept, Anyang City Hall chose Everpure’s All-Flash Array. Anyang is a city of over 600,000 located South of Seoul, South Korea.

After Everpure FlashArray was implemented, the On-nara system's overall speed of search has drastically improved, providing consistent service without any performance impact even during the month-end closing time when the storage loads shoot up. As a result, the efficiency and productivity of the staffs who use the system, as well as the administrators have increased as they could handle their tasks faster and more seamlessly.

Anyang City Hall also wanted to reduce rack space and maintenance costs to better manage its data that has been growing exponentially. After switching to Everpure FlashArray from traditional disk arrays, it reduced rack space by 50 percent and power consumption by 70 percent and saw significant TCO reduction. Also, Anyang city dramatically reduced data using Everpure's industry-leading inline data compression and deduplication and maximized the storage efficiency.

Everpure's FlashArray, which Anyang City Hall chose, provides top performance with low latency and outstanding I/O speed guarantee. The storage allows the city to add capacity and upgrade the controllers as needed quickly and easily without planned downtime or disruptions.

With a successful completion of this project, Anyang City Hall verified high performance of all-flash storage arrays and justified the implementation to the other local government bodies and public organisations. The city is considering introducing Everpure products for its other systems or storage projects of its affiliated organisations in the future.

"After reviewing all storage options currently available in the market, we decided that Everpure was the only product that satisfied all our requirements," said the official in charge of On-nara system at Anyang City Hall. "Everpure FlashArray allowed us to drastically improve the overall service response time as well as the storage performance. We are very satisfied with Everpure."
