Welcome to a conversation between Cos and I as to the reason for the announcements we made today. Cos, why is this the right time for Pure Storage to become EverPure? You know, we started the company and we built a fantastic data storage platform. But now, as we expand beyond data storage into data management, understanding the data,
helping people use their data better, it just makes sense to expand the brand. Mm-hmm. So why do you think companies are struggling as they go to make AI work at scale? Well, the key thing for AI is being able to make better use of one's data. But actually, the data that companies have is highly fragmented in their operational silos, and that data doesn't really have the context necessary to be used directly for AI.
As, of course, you know, we announced our agreement to acquire OneTouch. This is going to extend our ability to turn data into da- into information that is much more usable by AI and analytic systems. It extends our data management capability and increases the ability of that data to have the context necessary to make it more immediately valuable to, to, to our core customers.
So, you know, e- going to EverPure rather than Pure Storage is a major change, but what's not changing, Cos? Well, I think as the, name implies, we don't wanna lose all the good stuff we've built at Pure. Our values, the way we operate, the way everybody at the company is so
customer-focused, and that's something that we never wanna lose as we grow in scale, so we intend to keep that. Well, I have to say, this is such an exciting time in the industry and a very exciting time at, at EverPure. We are going beyond just pure data storage and adding context to the information and pulling
it together into an enterprise data cloud. The announcement we made today, to acquire OneTouch, is a major advance towards that goal. The name EverPure represents the next step as we continue to not only redefine storage, but now redefine data management at scale.
