all right well um now it is my pleasure to introduce our final speaker of the day the man who needs no introduction uh
please welcome to the stage the pure founder and our Chief visionary officer cause so uh thanks for coming uh like to hit on a couple of topics um you know kind of reiterating
something that you heard earlier today so uh let's start with the XL one 90 you know so Rob was talking about how much we improved the performance of the XL one 70 uh and how now with the XL one 90 uh
we're taking a major step up again um you know a lot of you have been using pure products for a while uh you've experienced a lot of pure goodness and uh I hope enjoyed uh using our products
we've always had those workloads that were just a little bit too intense a little bit too performance requirement uh you know for our products and now
you know with the introduction of the XL one ninety uh and you know the flash array ST uh you know for even more workloads you know we can meet every workloads performance and you really wanna think about
there's a couple of arrays I'm not gonna name them but you know those names of you know a couple of products out there that people have always said ooh
it's got four engines six engines eight engines I will remind you a four engine plane not as reliable as a two engine plane a four engine plane not as economical as a two engine plane
there's a reason why all the four engine planes are dying and there's a reason why all the four engine uh arrays should be dying and the XL one ninety gives you that option
okay so if you've been using our products and you have a workload that you currently have uh some of these uh very large competitive boxes for think about taking an array that is a rack or two racks big
and shrinking it down to five rack units getting the simplicity getting the performance getting the power efficiency getting the operational efficiency and getting the reliability all so much better
and by the way if you're not a pure customer talk to some of the other people in the audience what are you waiting for um so XL one 90 Flash or AST there is now no workload that we can't address
and you really should be thinking of us for everything in your environment um you know on the AI side same thing with Exa Flashblade was great Exa extends that so again think of pure for meeting every workload you have now
um the other thing I wanted to talk about was the enterprise data cloud now those of you that have you know been to this event before uh you know
that I tend to get excited about some of the things we're doing um and I'm really excited about the enterprise data cloud it's something that you know when you talk to our folks about it
there's what we're delivering today and there's the fact that you know we're investing a lot of money in R&D uh you know we're investing 20% of our revenue in R&D and as our revenue goes up
that's a lot of money and we're gonna have a lot of investment in the enterprise data cloud over the next several years every release it's going to get better and better and better
so you shouldn't be waiting until it reaches some level of perfection it never will we're gonna keep adding to it forever but the enterprise data cloud allows you to manage your products
like a single unit and you know I see studies like oh for every dollar somebody spends buying a storage array they spend $7 to run it okay so think of that you know
you all know how your staff is strained you all know how much time and effort you spend running the products and you know how simple and easy one pure product is with the enterprise data cloud
you get that simplicity and ease of use when you have a fleet of 100 run 100 arrays as easily as you run one run 10 times the storage per administrator as you can without it right
that's the kind of thing the Enterprise Data Cloud lets you do but it also adds elements of compliance you know elements of conformity that help you so you have a definition for storage levels of service
I define my tier one's storage I define my tier 2 storage you know tier 1 backed up more often snapshotted and protected longer replicated to other geographies
tier 2 maybe not now I come along and say I need to change the definition of what tier 1 is you know before it's like okay I've got to go inventory everything I have
and I know because many of you have told me that is not an easy task it will take a long time and I've got to understand the 20 different ways someone has configured something with the enterprise data cloud
you're gonna have one way that tier 1 has been configured one way that tier 2 has been configured so when you change your needs it's just so simple you change the definition
and then the enterprise data cloud can tell you here's all the tier 1 storage you have it doesn't conform to your new definition and then it can make it all conform okay this will help you with compliance
it will help you with changes it's like at home if any of you have a smart thermostat you like change the setting one degree and it says that's gonna cost you $1 74 a month extra uh well with the enterprise data cloud
you'll be able to understand your change understand how much more storage will that consume and so understand the cost trade off of making this change uh versus not making it
it's you know a completely different level of simplicity and ease of use and that's something that pure has always stood for is trying to make products that really let you get the value
that are really simple really easy to use really effective and the enterprise data cloud is the next evolution in that and so of all the things we're doing in R d at pure the future of the enterprise data cloud
is one of the things that I'm most excited about and you know I really want every one of you to try it and it does mean you need to start thinking differently about things you need to start planning better uh but embrace the change and and really go after it
um you know that's really the main things I wanted to cover uh today uh again I want to thank all of you for coming and spending time with us
if you are a pure customer thank you for your business as you're well aware everybody at pure is committed to your success our engineers our customer support team our field teams
but also the teams behind them in legal in finance in HR in operations that's how we focus on keeping that net promoter score where it is and if you're a prospect again
please talk to someone else here who's a customer cause of course I'm gonna tell you the company is great and I'm gonna tell you the products are great but nobody does that better than our customers
who've actually experienced the difference and that's the thing that's always uh set pure apart is the focus on customer experience and the results that our customers have been able to achieve
