In 1972, several ice cream artisans united to form Grupo Alacant, which creates and sells authentic artisan ice cream and has become a leader in the Spanish market. Today, Grupo Alacant continues to expand into new markets and channels, finding innovative ways to remain competitive and create added value for customers and staff.

Challenges

Grupo Alacant’s continued growth exhausted the existing storage capacity of its 2.75 TB Pure Storage FlashArray. The company needed to support its two fibre-connected data centres, ensure that all virtual machines could be replicated in both locations, and recover them immediately in the event of service failures. Grupo Alacant required a cost-effective, easy-to-implement solution to:
