SafeMode creates immutable, indelible snapshots of backup data, preventing ransomware from altering or deleting crucial files. With petabyte-scale restoration, KWSH can rapidly recover data, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous access to critical information. FlashBlade integrates with KWSH’s data protection software to streamline backups, while its “hot swap” feature enables seamless capacity expansion and hardware upgrades for service continuity and simplified management—helping maintain KWSH’s high patient care standards.

Meanwhile, Pure1® spots unusual patterns in storage performance, such as shifts in data reduction ratios or increased latency, that can signal security threats, including ransomware or unauthorized data access. Better monitoring allows KWSH to quickly detect irregular activity on critical servers and respond proactively to prevent damage.

KWSH plans to use the Pure Storage replication feature for cyber resilience, replacing its expiring offsite backup solution and enhancing cross-site disaster recovery at its care centers in Jalan Besar, MacPherson, McNair, and St George. KWSH will also update its technology stack and explore AI integration to support care innovation.
