Storage efficiency improved with a 7:1 deduplication ratio and enhanced monitoring with the Pure1 cloud-based platform
Seoul, Korea – October 10, 2016 — Pure Storage (NYSE:PSTG), the market’s leading independent solid-state array vendor, today announced that Smartro has selected Pure Storage's all-flash storage array to support its Value Added Network (VAN) switching system implementation project.
With this storage implementation, Smartro achieved 0.25ms latency and a 7:1 deduplication ratio to improve storage efficiency, as well as system performance and reliability. In addition Smartro simplified monitoring and improved the administrator's productivity by using Pure Storage’s Pure1 cloud-based support service.
Smartro, a 24/7 payment service provider, carried out a VAN switching system implementation project in order to provide authentication service seamlessly. After reviewing a variety of products, Smartro determined that Pure Storage's FlashArray offers the most reliable hardware and software system.
Smartro successfully deployed Pure Storage all-flash array with goal of minimizing time and costs for service recovery from storage failure in mission-critical applications. After the implementation, the company was able to minimize service downtime with performance and reliability optimized to a virtual server environment. Also, it achieved 0.25ms latency on average. In addition, it was able to reduce the volume of data by about 85 percent thanks to Pure Storage's inline data compression and deduplication technologies. With the 7:1 data reduction rate, the company saved more storage space than expected and was relieved from the burden of future capacity expansion.
Pure Storage FlashArray, which is built on an architecture optimized for flash memory, provided unmatched reliability through redundancy of all major components without service interruption. Pure1, Pure Storage's cloud-based proactive management and predictive support, helped the company increase the operational and management efficiency of storage.
