Riitters will lead the company’s financial and accounting operations worldwide. He will report to CEO Scott Dietzen. Riitters joins Pure Storage on August 26 from Google, where he spent 10 years in finance.

At Google, Riitters was responsible for overseeing the company-wide annual planning and budgeting processes. Additionally, he led the finance team responsible for predicting revenue trends and increasing revenue opportunities. Earlier in his career at Google, Riitters was based in Dublin, Ireland where he oversaw the company’s European financial operations, and served as CFO of its European Payments Business. Previous to Google, he held leadership positions at both Siebel Systems and Deloitte.
