My name is Adam Rasner and I'm vice president of technology operations for autonation. Autonation is the country's largest automotive retail with 350 locations in 17 states. We are in all kinds of business within automotives. We have new car dealerships, all pre owned, which is our Autonation USA stores,

we have collision centers, auction houses, parts, warehouses. We also have our own branded parts. Autonation, precision parts. Um, so we are everything automotive to the consumer, automotive has not been one of the more innovative uh, businesses as far as the digital experience. And I think the consumer now um, wants that amazon like car buying experience,

they want to be able to go online and do 100% of the transaction, not step foot in the dealership and that requires a lot of technology. Um, a lot of digital innovation to bring that experience. The value of data with an automation is the ability to take 20 years of being in this business sales, data, auction, data, appraisal data and tied into

Um, one system that allows us to make really smart decisions. Our environment is growing tremendously, probably 20-30% year every year. And so as we invested in the next generation platform, we really had to understand how easy it is to scale. We didn't want to hit capacity constraints in the hardware and do big forklift upgrades.

We wanted it to scale very easily and we wanted to know what that cost was up front, all of that added together. Kind of help us make our decision on the pure storage platform. So what I really like about the Pure platform is their subscription and innovation idea which allows the customer to get um controller upgrades, hardware upgrades every three years. Um the software gets upgraded non destructively

and it really allows us to spend a lot less time thinking about, you know, what's the life cycle of the Pure platform? The single biggest differentiator was the ease of using the product, The ease of day to day management of the product. It's a very intelligent platform that that's sort of auto tunes itself.

The support on the pier side, some of the proactive things they do in their support model are very different than their competitors and just the ability to not have to have dedicated storage people on the team that frees up bodies to go do more kind of value added work in the company. Pure is a is a key piece of the underlying platform that we're building to deliver. This experience.
