Find Out How

What Is Everpure?

Everpure is the next evolution of Pure Storage. To understand what that means, it helps to start with what made Pure Storage different in the first place.

When Pure Storage was founded, the goal was simple: rethink enterprise storage for a world moving to all-flash. That meant improving performance, simplifying operations, and removing the disruption caused by traditional infrastructure.

That’s where innovations like Evergreen® architecture came from, allowing systems to be upgraded in place without downtime or data migrations. Over time, that approach expanded into a consistent operating environment across on-prem and cloud, where block, file, and object were native to a global pool of storage. Far different from the one-architecture, one-workload storage of the past.

And it worked. Pure Storage became known for making storage easier to run. But the problem didn’t stay the same.

What's different now?

Due to traditional infrastructure approaches, storage remains a constraint, and in many environments, it’s one of the biggest. In the past, that constraint was managed with more time, more cost, and more effort. Keeping the lights on, yes. Driving real innovation, no. Then something changed. The pressure shifted—fast.

Leaders are now being asked to support core applications, keep systems stable and secure, and, at the same time, deliver on new demands such as AI, real-time analytics, and data-driven operations. That demand doesn’t arrive in a steady curve, nor can it be solved through aging architecture. It spikes, shifts, and expands in ways that traditional environments weren’t designed to handle.

AI in particular changes the equation.

It doesn’t just need data stored. It needs data available, reused, and constantly moving across environments. Training, tuning, and inference all depend on access to the same data, often in different places at the same time.

When that breaks down, teams compensate the only way they can. They create additional copies, add scripts, and put in more manual effort just to keep things moving. That’s where the strain starts to show.

Environments that were designed to manage storage one system at a time begin to fall behind as data grows and moves more frequently. Governance becomes harder to maintain, visibility starts to decline, and the effort required to keep everything aligned increases alongside it.

This isn’t a failure of storage performance or capacity on its own. It’s a mismatch between how data is now used and how it’s still being managed. That’s the gap Everpure is built to close.

Why is Everpure different?

If the issue is how data is being managed, not just where it’s stored, then adding more systems or tools doesn’t really solve it. You need a fundamental change of architecture, one that is unified, creating a virtual data pool rather than isolated silos. An evergreen architecture that supports true non-disruptive updates and seamless scale, regardless of workload. And a single intelligent control plane that automates management with global policies, rather than a thousand isolated ones.

What changes with Everpure is how data is handled across the environment. Instead of managing storage one system at a time, as most storage vendors do, the Everpure Platform was designed to manage data as a whole.

The same model applies whether data is on-prem, in the cloud, or powering AI pipelines. Policies aren’t recreated for each environment, and data doesn’t need to be reshaped or reprotected every time it moves. Data can be reused without creating layers of copies just to make it accessible. Protection and governance don’t drift as environments scale, because they’re defined once and applied consistently. And the effort required to keep everything aligned drops as the environment grows.

This is where the difference from the traditional model becomes clear. In most environments, teams are still working in isolated systems designed for single applications and workloads, stitching together workflows across systems to keep up with demand. With Everpure, the platform takes on that responsibility directly, so teams aren’t compensating for gaps as data grows and moves. It’s not about replacing storage. It’s about changing how data is run across it.

Why this isn’t just another ‘platform’

Many vendors describe their offerings as platforms, but most environments still rely on multiple systems that need to be coordinated. Everpure takes a more integrated approach.

It builds on an architecture designed to evolve without disruption, so upgrades and expansions don’t introduce downtime or require large-scale changes. It applies a consistent operating model across environments, so the way data is provisioned, protected, and governed doesn’t change from one location to another.

And it reduces the manual effort required to keep everything aligned by allowing teams to define intent once and rely on the platform to execute it. What matters isn’t any one of these capabilities. It’s that they operate together as one system, without needing to be held together manually.

The Enterprise Data Cloud: Your path to a data-driven organization

At this point, the shift starts to show up in how data behaves. When data is managed through a consistent platform, it stops being tied to individual systems. It becomes something that can be accessed, moved, and governed as part of a larger whole.

That’s what the Enterprise Data Cloud represents.

It’s not a product you install or a separate layer you add. It’s what emerges when data is no longer managed system by system, but as a shared resource across the environment. Instead of thinking in terms of volumes, arrays, or environments, teams start thinking in terms of data itself. What it is, how it’s used, and what it requires in terms of performance, protection, and compliance.

That changes how things operate.

Data can be reused without being duplicated across pipelines. Governance doesn’t depend on where data happens to live at a given moment. And movement across environments doesn’t introduce new risk or rework, because the same policies apply everywhere. This is the shift from managing storage to managing data. And it’s what allows environments to keep up as demand grows, especially as AI continues to increase the volume, movement, and reuse of data across the business. That’s the model. The next question is who can actually deliver it.

THE EVERPURE PLATFORM

A platform that grows with you, forever.

Simple. Reliable. Agile. Efficient. All as-a-service.

Why Everpure

At a certain point, this comes down to who you can trust. Everpure has built that trust by delivering consistently where it matters. A large portion of the Fortune 500 relies on the platform, reflecting the level of confidence required to standardize at that scale. Customer satisfaction tells the same story. An NPS of 84, among the highest in enterprise technology, reflects how the platform performs once it’s in place.

Those are the signals that matter. Not just capability, but consistency.
