Pure Storage has optimized the FlashArray for the real-world. FlashArray adapts automatically to 512B-32KB IO for superior performance, scalability, and data reduction.
Displayed capacity is effective capacity, unless otherwise noted. Effective capacity assumes HA, RAID, and metadata overhead, GB-to-GiB conversion, and includes the benefit of data reduction with always-on & global inline deduplication, compression, deep reduction, and pattern removal. Average data reduction is calculated at 5-to-1. Some customers see data reduction in excess of 20-to-1. Effective capacity has no upper limit and will vary depending on workload.
Capacity is purchased and added in capacity packs of 10 x Flash Modules. Three options are available: 5TB, 10TB, and 20TB. Capacity packs can be mixed within an //m system.
